Line Line art  or  line  drawing is any image that consists of distinct straight or curved  lines  placed against a plain background, without gradations in shade or hue.  Line art  emphasizes form and outline, over color, shading, and texture. Shape A  shape  is an enclosed space, a bounded two-dimensional form that has both length and width. Texture Texture is the way something feels to the touch, or looks to the eye. Words like rough, silky, shiny and dull help writers describe the  texture  of an object.  Value Value  is a basic  element of art  that refers to the gradual change of lightness or darkness of a color. In painting,  value  changes can be achieved by adding either black or white to the chosen color.  Form Form is something that is three-dimensional and encloses volume, having length, width, and height, versus shape, which is two-dimensional, or flat. 1. Still Image: Here we see a few students which are doing different things. Here we see an unhappy family which is arguing with each other. Still image is a fixed picture when the character uses their facial expression and body language to give hints as to the situation or the people within that scene. 2. Role-Play A family goes to the park with their son. The son is afraid of the scary statue.  To role-play is to pretend to be a character and use your creativity to speak, feel, and think like the person.   3. Narrating This shows a naive child getting kidnapped.  Narrating informs the audience of what the characters and setting is doing. It is very useful in a mime or in transitions.
